|
Technique: |
PLANT SPECIES TO COMBAT EROSION |
|
Definition characters description and diffusion
Plant species are important in preventing erosion. Plants and trees are used to protect soils and slopes.
General characters description and diffusion
If the soil were not enclosed with an embankment, if it were not made arable by water repartition systems and were not protected by the shade of the plant, it would undergo the destructive action of erosion. Surface salinity would increase, the soil would be demolished and transformed into sand and dispersed by the wind's action.
Advantages and sustainability
Soil erosion is prevented by the use of plant species to protect from wind by shading and embankments.
