DRiWATER

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND SOLUTIONS TKWB
Technique: TECHNIQUE OF SOIL IRRIGATION
Title: DRiWATER

Description of the innovative solution

DRiWATER is water in a gel form that time releases when it comes in contact with soil. DRiWATER slowly releases water so your plant can use it more efficiently and grow healthier. DRiWATER is composed of all natural ingredients and is safe around children and animals. DRiWATER is not polymer. It is non-toxic and biodegradable. DRiWATER will water plants reliably and consistently for up to 30, 60 or 90 days. The modern technique is a revolutionary concept in living plant irrigation, patented by its inventor in USA. When placed in contact with microbiological life forms found in soil, DRiWATER dissolves back into water at a controlled rate of flow. The product will continuously drip irrigate a plant or seedling over a period of time depending on the size of the application. In the Quart size container, a seedling will be irrigated for three months or more without regard to the temperature or relative humidity.

DRiWATER is made of three non-toxic ingredients-pure water, cellulose and alum. DRiWATER is absorbed by the soil, making it readily available to the plant's root ball. DRiWATER has been under a wide product-testing programme with government agencies, universities, and private sector end users. Extensive field tests have been conducted in arid desert conditions of the United Arab Emirates, planting of two million trees in Egypt, and many areas in the Western States with extremely difficult soils and weather conditions.

Advantages and sustainability

As for the benefits of DRiWATER, it can be used to start seedlings in sand where water from other irrigation methods leaches away from the plant. DRiWATER can be used to start seedlings on steep terrain where other irrigation methods would cause erosion. DRiWATER eliminates the necessity of installing drip irrigation systems or hauling water where water is only needed during the first year to establish the plant's root system.

Flood irrigation is a very wasteful use of the precious resource with approximately 90% of the water being wasted. This method of irrigation adds to contamination of our underground aquifers by leaching chemical fertilizers and pesticides down with it.
